WEATHER
The weather plays an important role in creating great pictures and while we do our best to make sure that you go home with the best possible pictures, we cannot guarantee the ideal conditions for the workshop. Please make sure you understand that most of the locations are outdoor, although our back up could be a splendid villa or an urbex location (where we will be shooting anyway). Adaptation and flexibility is a big part of the photography process thus we hope you are ready to go beyond your comfort zone, that is where the best results and memories come from.
SCHEDULE
We will be chasing the best natural light conditions which means to wake up early for the very first photo session every day. In September, that means starting to shoot around 6:30 in the morning. The second slot starts around 16:00 as we will be waiting for the best time of the day for photography – the golden hour. On Sunday, you can schedule private photo sessions with the models. You can use the villa or any other location you wish. We will arrange transportation for you. Please talk to us about the availability of the models up front.
LOCATIONS
Please be aware that we would be shooting at public locations (nature, by the sea etc.), therefore it might happen that we need to compromise under certain circumstances. Normally there are not many or no people around (especially when shooting in the morning) but if someone is passing, we need to take it in consideration, especially if children are around. We check the locations a few days before the workshop to make sure they are still looking the same and they are suitable for the photo shooting. That being said – anything can happen.
FOOD
We will enjoy some meals together at local restaurants, but you’ll also have the opportunity to dine with fellow photographers or on your own. On the final day, we’ll gather at the villa for a final dinner. All details will be shared with potential participants.
Please note: When in a restaurant – you would pay for your meals and drinks by yourself.
WELCOME MEETING
We kindly ask you to join us for a common dinner on Wednesday at 18:30 in Primosten old town (exact place will be announced upfront).
We would have dinner together, discuss the exact plan for the workshop and most importantly we would get to know each other.
Please let us know if you can’t make it for any reason.
WHAT TO BRING
- You should obviously bring your camera (DSLR or mirrorless camera).
- We recommend you to bring 50mm and a wide-angle lens (28mm, 35mm,..).
- You will probably need some spare batteries.
- You can of course bring any other equipment you like but our aim is – less the better.
